Es el encapsulado de la <em>Gran Caja Roja<\/em> (Caja \u2013 PRT-11366 \u2013 SparkFun Electronics 1) que viene con una placa de prototipos utilizada para proyectos electr\u00f3nicos. Un modelo CAD en 3D del encapsulado est\u00e1 disponible gratuitamente para ser descargado en formatos Sketchup, STL, IDES y Solidworks. Una vez importado el modelo de Solidwoks en Autodesk Fusion 360 se export\u00f3 solo la base a formato STL para usar en an\u00e1lisis posteriores. Hay algunas diferencias entre el modelo CAD y el objeto real. No se muestran las esquinas redondeadas de la brida de montaje ni el borde que rodea la parte superior de la caja. El objeto se escane\u00f3 en la plataforma giratoria mientras el escaner estaba estacionario para capturar el exterior. Luego, se sostuvo el escaner en la mano para escanear el interior. La superficie era un poco reflectante, a pesar de ello se obtuvieron buenos resultados pues se aplic\u00f3 una capa de Aesub Blue para opacar la superficie y comparar la calidad de los escaneos. El escaneo con el recubrimiento funcion\u00f3 mejor en los resultados finales. Esta alineaci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 en CloudCompare seleccionando primero tres puntos comunes entre los dos modelos para calcular una alineaci\u00f3n aproximada que luego fue refinada por un algoritmo ICP. Luego, la nube de puntos se coloreo con un mapa de calor y se proporciono un histograma para brindar la m\u00e9trica promedio de la calidad del ajuste. Los puntos est\u00e1n dentro de \u00b11 mm, con un promedio de 0,15 mm. Esto se debe a que la pieza moldeada por inyecci\u00f3n de pl\u00e1stico tiene un \u00e1ngulo de desmoldeo que no se expresa en el modelo CAD para permitir la eliminaci\u00f3n del molde. El escaner laser pudo capturar el peque\u00f1o borde alrededor de la parte superior de la caja, se ve bien en los modelos de malla y nube de puntos. El escaneo muestra que la base de la carcasa es 0,26 mm m\u00e1s ancha que el modelo CAD, pero esto tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda deberse al \u00e1ngulo de inclinaci\u00f3n. Se muestra que las protuberancias de los tornillos en la parte inferior del encapsulado est\u00e1n en la ubicaci\u00f3n incorrecta en el modelo CAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure
